Early 1900's Mortar and Pestle Nice Form for Your Pantry
Primitive Gourd with Tea Light and Dried Autumn Prairie Flowers Fabulous
SOLD #17 Child's Farm Prairie Dress
When I first saw this darling child's dress, I imaged a little girl with pigtails walking through a colorful meadow coming home from school. She was greeted by her mother at their farmhouse and Mother commented on the little flowers she had gathered and put in her pocket along the way! Sweet! The dress has small checks in an ochre and buttermilk color with dark green rick rack bordering the collar and ruffled sleeves. I believe this dates to the 1920's - 1930's and has five eggshell white buttons, all intact. There are two darts in the front as well as the back. This dress flares out on the sides and really gives it some style and bounce. The pocket is filled with Prairie flowers for romantic charm and is in wonderful condition, except for a tiny thread pull on the left, about half way down. No holes, rips, or stains. Part of the dress was sewn on a machine and some of it was hand stitched. Please see pictures for detail. I was able to find a unusual old hanger that I think looks just wonderful with the dress and is included in this sale. Would look adorable on your Peg Rack with your other textiles! 18" High, 17" from end of sleeve to sleeve, 21" at the widest point (bottom) & 13" Wide in the middle. Enjoy! ~Freight (Priority Mail) & Insurance included~ within the continental U.S.
