Are you looking for an unusual decorated tree that can be incorporated into your warm and inviting home this Christmas…then this next offering may just delight you enough to call it your own. I decided to use dried fruit creating a Williamsburg look but also included nuts lending a Scandinavian style of decorating as well…..so you have the best of both worlds! Nuts were placed in Dutch shoes and laid by the hearth on Christmas Eve as gifts presented to excited children come Christmas morn.

An array of dried oranges, limes, apples along with nuts accent this tree by adding color, texture and interest! I used an early Pennsylvania Dutch strap handled, fluted tin cookie cutter for the tree topper that possesses a delicious dark surface. The front, sides and back of the tree are completed decorated to create a full and finished look. I have owned the Santa for over 30 years and decided to use him as a focal point in the front. This carved and hand painted Santa has an adoring reindeer that can’t seem to get close enough to his best friend!

The tree sports a beautiful nutmeg brown color having wispy branches that are completely receptive to easy arrangement. A weighted base dressed in burlap keeps the tree steady and secure wherever it is placed. A strand of 35 mini lights were added that offer a soft and warm glow illuminating the tree.

I used an early redware crock as a base for this tree and is offered in a separate listing. The display opportunities seem to beckon a kitchen or dining room area because of the fruit and nut theme. This tree would look wonderful gracing the top of a server in your dining room if your decorating style is a little more sophisticated and if not what about setting it on a farmhouse table or dry sink. This one of a kind tree is really special and will bring warmth and holiday magic into your lovely home for years to come! Enjoy!

Tree stands 23 ¼” tall, measures around 11” across the middle area (widest point) and the base measures 4” across.
