Interesting “make-do” table riser dating from the last quarter of the 19th century, lending primitive form showing exposed nails on the front edge. **~Advertising cleaver marked S. Richard, Southbridge, Mass. (operated a cutlery company from 1861 to 1928) is also included.**~

Old Tin Grater that comes with a new electrified candle holder, can be purchased separately and is available in another listing. All other items are not for sale.

Original use of board unknown but does have age related wear especially on the front and back edges that dictate rough areas. Two board, round head nail construction having warm patina and fashioned from pine. Age related cracks are apparent on the front and bottom locations. A series of “mystery” square holes can be found underneath near the top edge.

Evokes plenty of display opportunities and is also reversible. Cleaver fashioned from carbon steel is in very good condition less a couple tiny chips on the edge of the wooden handle.

Riser measures 22 ½” across the top, stands almost 2” tall and measures 12 ¼” front to back. Cleaver measures 12 ¼” tall, handle measures 1” thick and blade measures almost 3” @ the tallest point (front where hanging hole is located).

~Freight (Standard Mail) included, however Insurance is optional and can be purchased @ checkout ~ within the continental U.S.
