This persnickety owl is looking for a home where he can rule the roost and will be a great addition to your Steiff collection. His name is "Whittie", was born in "1954" and is of German descent with a prominent "Steiff" pedigree.
This mohair owl is in very good condition except for some fading and even sports the original tags located on his left wing. His nose is intact and perfect as well. Willie was fashioned from mohair and has a beautiful spotted appearance. The tips of his wings portray exciting air brushed detail that Steiff is known for. His eyebrows and the crown of his head also include the airbrush accents done in a whisper of shamrock green as shown in images 3, 4 & 5.
Tufts of black hair located on either side of the top of his head are just another neat artistic feature Willie has to offer. There are a couple small spots located on the bottom of his left foot as shown in image 8. He stands up proud and straight at will and no odors are present either.
Willie would love to reside in your home and will make you smile every time you look at him! How many people can we say do that for us! He would also be perfect for Halloween decorating staged amongst a woodsy setting perched on a branch with maple leaves and acorns scattered nearby. Enjoy!
Willie measures 5 1/2" tall, the wing span is 5 1/2" across (body alone measures 3" across) and is about 2 1/2" deep (front to back).
