Unique 20th century box grater with a removeable drawer has great form and can either be hung or can rest nicely on a table or countertop. The back was carved out of one piece of wood exhibiting a curved handle.
Desirable patina that sports a crushed walnut hue is a nice feature. The grater section was hand punched. There are some pencil marks on the back as well as a small area with white residue limited to the handle. Tiny nails were used to construct this piece.
Wood has a lighter appearance (horizontal line) on the inside top left side panel as shown in image 9. There is a tiny crack on the right hand side near the bottom nail as referenced in image 6. A small amount of pale residue limited to the inside edge of the top panel as shown in image 4.
Drawer sides are joined and reinforced with tiny nails. Fine condition without any chips to report. Would make a wonderful addition in your kitchen! Enjoy!
Stands 12 ¼” tall including the handle, box itself stands 9 ½” in the back and 9” in the front, measures 6 ¾” across the front and measures 4” deep.
