This pewter ice cream mold is 4" high x about 3 1/2" wide x just under 1" deep and is from an old heart-theme collection which we purchased several years ago. A thin wire has been attached to the hinge at top for hanging. It is easily removable if one wishes. This mold was probably used for special occasions (probably Valentine's Day). If you will note from our gallery photo and the photo of the back of the mold (below) there is a slight bulge or bend on the back side of the piece extending about 1/8" outward. It is slightly noticeable when viewed from the front but we feel that it is not detrimental. We would guess the age of the mold to be early 1900's to 1920's but are not really sure since it is not marked. This would be a wonderful addition to any heart or kitchen collection........hope you like it too!
