Beautiful butter print comprised of maple having a primary Rosette center protected by opposing bold leaves that express an interesting and not commonly found pattern. This piece dates to the1790 ~ 1840 period.
The rich and delicious patina makes for a special piece and can be displayed on it’s side so the lovely pattern can be appreciated. There is a chip on the edge of the handle as shown along with several minor age related cracks on the back. Some tiny chips are present on the outer edge but the pattern is intact without any chips or cracks to report.
Very nice butter print that would be a perfect addition to your collection. Enjoy!
Measures 4” across, stands 2 ¼” tall and the top of the handle measures 1 ½” across.
