Dog Pull Toy Red Wheels Sweet

#826

Regular price $195.50

This 1920 to 1930’s adorable dog pull toy is just as sweet as they come and is looking for a loving home! He must have been a favorite of an adoring child as only whispers of his fur remain but he still has plenty of love to give! Herbert (I could not help but name him) does not eat much and will certainly warm up a room with his darling personality and expressive features!

This sweet guy is stuffed with excelsior. I believe his eyes are plastic but do have a glass appearance. His mouth and nose sport hand stitched features and his studded leather collar (a couple studs went missing) makes him look handsome indeed! Herbert does have some stains located on his left ear and leg as well as sprinkled throughout about 10% his body. Tufts of fur are still present on his left ear and on the inside of his paws.

The metal wheels move freely and have vestiges of red paint still present and the same holds true for the platform base and axles. There is a considerable amount of darkened areas on the wheels and axles. Herbert stands firm on the metal platform and secured by way of a single nail penetrating each paw but he did convey this does not bother him in the least!

There is an open area located on the left hand side of his tail that reveals exposed excelsior but the rest of his body was not affected. His ears are secured by a single stitch located underneath his head. There are no holes or ripped areas to report other than on his tail. Good boy!

If you happen to collect stuffed animals Herbert would make a perfect addition to your collection or could be your first purchase! Pull toys such as this one can grace the top or the inside shelf area of a cupboard with ease sprinkled with other animals nearby! They also look terrific placed on a blanket chest in your bedchamber with a collection of old child’s school books or early wooden blocks to create a theme! These wonderful animals are just so fun to have around as they are happy little guys that will make you smile every time you look at them. Herbert told me he can’t wait to make your acquaintance and he promises to be loyal and reward you with pleasure and gratitude every day! Enjoy!

Herbert stands 8 ½” tall (top of head to the bottom of the wheel), measures 10” from the tip of his nose to the end of his curled tail and measures 3” across his head (widest point). Platform base measures 7 ½” from the front of the wheel to the back wheel location, measures 4 ¾” (side to side, right to left) and wheels stand 2” tall.
