Early Primitive Cabin Hanging Gourd

#107

Regular price $29.50

Gourd anything is just so popular right now and this unique hanging gourd is a perfect accent for your shaker peg. Born and raised in Alabama on a farm, this dipper gourd boasts a warm honey color with chocolate brown and pitch black mottling. The back side of this gourd has eggshell white variations on the shell mixed with honey undertones. Neat! These color variations are distinct and appear differently on each gourd which makes them on of a kind.

I hand~stitched "Early Cabin" on a olde wool blanket piece and backed this with aged cheesecloth to add primitive charm. A smaller dipper gourd, brown pod and Sweet Annie compliment the top of the gourd. These little items really add something special to the overall look. Lastly, a hole has been drilled near the top to accommodate a wire hanger.

Would look right at home among-st your other hanging gourds and would also be a nice fit with your farmhouse aprons in the pantry. Perfect cabin look for your homestead.

Please visit the "Kitchen Cupboard" section for my gourd Bowl & Dipper Spoon that would also compliment this piece quite nicely! Enjoy!

Measures 10" Tall, 4" @ the widest point & 3/4" across the top.
