German Reindeer Cold Painted Pair Marked

#1052

Regular price $125.50

These German reindeer, (both marked) are such a handsome pair and happened to find each other in the forest....soon to become mates for life. They date to around 1930 and were fashioned from lead (spelter) and cold painted. German toys including Putz animals never disappoint as the detail captured in each piece can be immediately recognized for the remarkable quality.

The doe without the antlers is considered rare because of the erect head showing an open mouth. She has experienced some paint loss limited to the right shoulder otherwise in great condition!

The male deer also has some paint loss limited to the left-hand side but still shows well and is in good condition. This set would fit in perfectly with vintage bottle brush trees, putz houses or even small cabins. One can certainly get creative placing this pair in a rustic setting that will bring nature inside your home for the holidays and beyond!

Male stands4” tall including the antlers, measures 3” from his nose to tail and measures ½” across his rump. Doe stands 2 ¼” tall, measures 2 ¾” from her nose to tail and measures ½” across her rump.

~Freight (Standard Mail) included, however Insurance is optional and can be purchased @ checkout ~ within the continental U.S.
