What a handsome German rabbit candy container dating from around the first quarter of the 20th century that certainly does have great personality! By utilizing an air brushed technique in black to outline the main focal points truly add stunning characteristics that these German animals are known for. He sports glass eyes and his nose and mouth are hand painted. The head is posable to some degree as it lifts off from the body. Stick leg construction is another great attribute.
The tip of the right ear does have some damage as shown while the left ear possesses a crack near the bottom that may have been glued back on at one point. A couple other cracks can be found on his legs where the composition material was joined which is a common occourance that is due to age. There is another crack near his tail on the right side while a tiny hole is located on the edge of his tail.
The collar area is marked “Germany” and was fashioned from cardboard and held together with two staples. The raised texture in his body along with his face mimic a realistic appearance that is quite detailed.
Overall condition is still good as this handsome rabbit shows well and promises to delight you with his presence!
