Primitive Rabbit Bunny in Old Farmhouse Maple Syrup Tin Bucket

#244

Regular price $54.50

Meet Annabelle who hopefully will steal your heart enough to give her a loving home! She is entirely hand ~ crafted and does indeed have a shy side as reflected in her innocent face. Annabelle also comes with this wonderful tin bucket decorated with prairie flowers and gourd eggs.

My inspiration for this gathering came from a tin maple syrup bucket that was found in a Missouri Barn. It was one of the many items in a large box containing similar Karo Syrup containers however this one was missing the label. The bucket is in good condition as there are no holes, creases or dents to report. The aged tin boasts a dark pewter color that just enhances the overall look of this gathering. There are some areas shown in images 4 & 5 that have light surface rust. The lid is also in good condition and was placed inside the opening to act as a back drop for the rabbit. The wire handle was inserted through a tin tab located on each side of the bucket to secure it.

I was able to find a fabulous Easter Egg Dye Label that I reproduced and hand ~ stitched onto aged burlap. This colorful and graphic label graces the front of the tin and ties in the Easter theme perfectly boasting a rabbit holding an Easter Egg with a chicken off to the left. Different colored eggs dot the landscape with baby chicks hatching all over the place! Cute!

Annabelle was fashioned from an old wool quilt that has been aged for a primitive look. She was completely hand ~ stitched and seems quite content set among-st an array of prairie flowers that include Sweet Annie, Broom Corn and dried Crepe Myrtle. A couple of gourd eggs were also added inside the bucket, one large and one small and look primitively perfect!

I created Annabelle so her ears could bend as this really adds so much character and personality to her one of a kind features as shown in images 7, 8, & 10. She is stuffed with raw cotton and also has an early brown piece of homespun that resembles a little shawl as it softly drapes over her shoulders. Of course, Annabelle won't ever go hungry as she has a real dried carrot she proudly wears around her neck and can take a nibble or two if need be! :)

This Easter gathering will bring springtime charm to your homestead and Annabelle promises to do her best to make you happy for years to come! Enjoy!

The bucket measures 8 1/4" Tall which includes the tin lid, 6" without & 5" Across the bottom. Annabelle stands 5 3/4" Tall & 2 1/2" @ the Widest point which is at the Bottom.
