Primitive Tin Sifter Repath Carver Co Unusual Kitchenware Piece

#256

Regular price $32.50

What a grand sifter this is boasting the most wonderful dark aged tin and unusual shape! This piece dates around the turn of the century to the 20's and would be a nice compliment to your other collection of tinware.

The double ~ ended sifter is marked on both removable lids, "Repath Carver Co, Los Angeles CA., REP". The caps can be removed to add flour but does take a little effort. The handle generates the action for the sifting process and does move freely. There is a little black painted wooden knob that is connected to the wire which inserts into the straight wooden handle as shown in image 4.

This piece is in very good condition without any dents to report. There is some light surface rust on the bottom lid as referenced in image 7 and also scattered randomly throughout this piece however the overall look is dark and "primitively perfect"! The inside is a little shiny as it should be because it has been protected from the elements all these years. Just a great piece of tinware that lends unique charm to a farmhouse pantry or buttery and would come in quite handy when baking a Shoo Fly Pie! Yum! Authentic Recipe is included with this offering! Enjoy!

I would like to thank my kitty Mica for her posing abilities even though in this shot she was bored to death and soon fell fast asleep! Sorry Mica, no mice inside this sifter to report!

The Tin Sifter stands 8 1/4" Tall, 4 1/2" across the top and bottom diameter, 8 1/2" across including the handle measurement, Handle is almost 6" across.

~Freight (Standard Mail) included, however Insurance is optional and can be purchased @ checkout ~ within the continental U.S.
