Steiff Squirrel Possy

Meet “Possy” a Steiff squirrel eating a velvet nut that is available for adoption. He was extremely dirty when I found him but with a little cooperation on his part and a nice warm bath Possy is clean and looks as good as new. (See before and After Images that show a dramatic difference).

Possy appeared in the line from “1957” through “1976” and was manufactured in three different sizes. His ear button tag and flag are missing but he still retains the paper label just below his neck that reads, “Possy”. He was fashioned from tan mohair that has been highlighted with a subtle copper airbrushing technique. Some mohair loss to tips of ears. Wire tail is posable while the rest of the body is not articulated.

Claws, feet, mouth and nose exhibit black hand embroidered features. He has black button eyes along with clear monofilament whiskers that show some loss. Condition is very good without any holes or rips to report. Possy fits well and can easily be incorporated into an autumn theme adding whimsy to your country displays. Free Shipping! Enjoy!

Stands 7 ½” tall to the tip of his ear, measures 4” tall (tail), measures 8 ½” (tip of nose to end of tail) and measures 3 ¼” @ the widest point across his tail.
