Velveteen Vintage Rabbit Easter Tin

#1065

Regular price $65.50

🌷Darling recumbent velveteen, most likely “Japan”, rabbit has taken up residence in an old decorated spice tin tray. Everything as pictured is included in this unique Easter offering. Rabbit dates from “1935 to 1945” and sports her original ribbon collar accented with a bell. Her ears are poseable while her body is not. The left ear showing a hole may suggest a tag that is no longer present.

She does have some staining on the left-hand side and there is a tiny hole present on the left hind leg. Darling hand stitched nose and mouth features along with tiny intact whiskers and glass eyes.

Spice tin is the perfect size for this rabbit filled with Prairie grass, fabric calico carrots, authentic dyed eggs and real quail shells, pine cones, acorns along with wispy spring greens. Tin does show surface rust along with loss on the bottom edge. There is also some putty that was applied on the inside bottom area near the edge. Prairie grass acts as a remedy to cover these imperfections. Nice dark surface to the tin.

Each egg is filled with both tiny acorns, real quail egg shells and one artificial tiny egg all nestled in grass. Nice smaller size would accommodate any space of your choosing by lending an interesting and unique spring theme to your lovely home.

Spice Container measures 7 ¾” long, stand 3 ¾” tall including the handle and measures 5 ¼” front to back. Rabbit measures 4 ¾” from the front legs to the back legs, stands 4 ½” tall @ the tallest point to top of ears and measures 3” front to back @ the widest point (back legs).

~Freight included, however Insurance is optional and can be purchased @ checkout ~ within the continental U.S.
