Wall Box Belsnickel Santa Greens Neat

#890

Regular price $75.50

Merry Christmas! Mr. Santa came all the way from the North Pole to make your acquaintance and enjoys residing in a primitive wall box fashioned from a pelt stretcher. He is in his element surrounded by snowy greens mimicking a forest setting where he was able to pick out a tree he is holding.

An old pelt stretcher exhibiting carved form was used to construct the back of the box while other old “character wood” was chosen to make up the sides and bottom. The color resembles a dark walnut enhanced with plenty of exciting dark striations throughout. There is a piece of wood missing from the bottom near the edge as referenced in the image with the arrow along with a scuff mark located on the inside as shown. This piece has the appearance of original form, color and character.

Mr. Santa is a contemporary rendition of the German Belsnickel, made by “Ragon House”. He sports a velvet red hooded robe that was enhanced with silver tinsel. His hand painted face is just beautifully done and really captures the essence of holiday magic! Santa is actually an ornament as there is a looped hanger on top of his head. You can choose to hang him from the tree if you wish and possibly add something else as a replacement inside the box.

This particular pelt stretcher is of the smaller variety and this size is harder to find. I am sure Santa would love to reside in your lovely homestead hanging on a wall or can be used as a table top decoration as well. Don’t forget the cookies come Christmas Eve! Enjoy!
