Child's Long Stockings Hand Knit Elephant Grey Primitive Christmas

#342

Regular price $34.50

These darling old Child's long stockings are just perfect for the holidays dressed in greens and fresh rose hips. The soft elephant grey color is wonderful and hard to find. These hand knit cotton stockings have a contrasting buttermilk color used in the toe and heel area that really enhance the overall look! The top edge was also done in this same color and really lends nice detail to this unique pair.

I added greens at the top along with rose hips, stitched up in turkey red thread. Greens, an aged chenille candy cane and a pine cone were tucked in the top of the other stocking to add Christmas cheer! I used turkey red thread for a hanger. Both stockings are connected toward the top, using this same thread so they hang properly and won't get separated. These stockings are in very good condition without any rips, holes or stains to report. They do not have an odor either and were well taken care of.

The stockings are just the right size, not too large and not too small. They can be hung in the corner of a favorite sampler or picture to add warm and interest or would also look nice hung on a cupboard door. I can also see these dazzling duo draped over a chair or directly on a bed with a Child's early reader nearby. These sweet little stockings will definitely add whimsy to any place of your choosing. You can just clip the thread and remove the greens after the holidays and this pair can certainly become a staple to your primitive decorating all year long! Enjoy!

The stockings measure 10 1/2" Tall from the toe to the top, 2 3/4" across the widest point located at the top and graduates to firm 2" across thereafter. The heal area measures 2 1/2" across & 1 3/4" the toe area.
