Primitive Mortar and Pestle

This sweet little mortar and pestle was found a few years ago in rural Ohio. The pestle appears to be original to the set - color and patina match exactly. There is an age crack along one side of the base measuring about 1 1/2" (see last photo). Otherwise in good condition, this piece is stable and sturdy and will last for many more years.

Mortar stands 5” tall and the top diameter is about 3”. Pestle is about 4 ½” long.
