Primitive Onion Corn Tassel Garland for Your Buttery
Today is sort of a dreary day with periods of heavy rain so what better time than now to head off to the craft room and make something extra special for your buttery to help brighten this day.
This garland was fashioned from small brown and white onions that were individually pierced with brown thread. Each onion was tied to a piece of strong jute done in a cascading pattern. Corn tassels and dock were joined separately and the onion garland was placed in the center. There is a hanging loop at the top so this piece can be hung.
If you have any aprons or primitive kitchen towels this garland would look right at home hung either on the right or the left hand side. This piece would also grace a shaker peg rack in style with homespun's hanging nearby or you can also hang this garland on the back of a kitchen or pantry door too! Have fun and enjoy!
The garland stands 18" tall by 6" measured @ the widest point.
