These little soul cakes have wonderful folklore that stems from Ireland and this idea was recreated in keeping to tradition. The poem explains why these were baked on "All Hallows Eve" and what they were for. You will receive one little Soul Cake made from beeswax topped with a small pumpkin and the little poem with the crescent moon above, backed on burlap with cheesecloth. The "Soul Cake" is also scented and smells great! It measures 2 1/4" across the bottom and 1 1/2" across the top by 1 3/4" tall and the bottom is wrapped in cheesecloth then wrapped with aged wire. You can purchase several and put them under your Shoo Fly screen for a neat Autumn display or will make a nice breadboard gathering as well. Great party favors and would also make a unique gift for your friends who love to collect and decorate for this special time of year.
