🇺🇸 Presenting a nice rendition of a 13-star flag, offered with Free Shipping, often referred to as the "Betsy Ross" flag, is an iconic early American flag adopted by the Continental Congress on June 14, 1777. It features 13 alternating red and white stripes and 13 white stars on a blue field, representing the original colonies that declared independence. Each star and stripe represent one of the original 13 colonies. The circular pattern of stars was originally meant to convey equality among the states.
Flag is entirely hand stitched including the stars and makes for a great display. Fabric has taken on a more primitive palette lending whispers of a tea dyed appearance. This textile was fashioned in India and can either be used indoors or outdoors as stated on the label along with the washing instructions. Two metal grommets provide a way to hang this piece on a flag pole or can be draped over a cozy porch rocking chair. Long may she wave!!
