Exceptional vivid and detailed brush stroke spinach patterned bowl dating from the mid to late 19th century. The foliate design and bold flower are a repeated pattern represented on all sides. There is one small area on the upper band where the paint was skipped as well as a couple minor rim chips. Some areas have slight toning referenced on the foot as well as on the rim.
Footed bowl is marked number 1 on the bottom. Overall appearance is splendid as there are no cracks or unsightly dark areas to report. This piece exhibits a clean and bright presentation and would look terrific filled with stone or fresh fruit presented on a table.
Measures 8 ½” across, bottom measures 4 ¼” across and stands 4 ½” tall.
