Bowl Squash Green Paint Unique

#863

Regular price $125.50

Superlative circa 1850 ~ 1875 butternut thick-walled bowl having glorious squash green paint on the lower back area while the pronounced rim lip was left untouched. An exciting recessed concentric band / groove resides just below the pronounced wide rim that adds definitive character to the overall look.

Darker paint is a later addition but there are whispers of the original lighter green paint underneath as shown. Some wood loss to the rim lip but no cracks are present. There is also a paint smear near the recessed band on the bottom of the bowl but the rest of the bowl was unaffected. Grand inside patina that does exhibit dark areas sprinkled at random along with chop marks on the bottom location. Perfect for autumn decorating with wee pumpkins placed inside. Grand patina makes for a special piece. Enjoy!

Nice smaller size measuring in at 11” across, stands 2 ½” tall and measures 3” across the bottom.

~Freight (Standard Mail) included, however Insurance is optional and can be purchased @ checkout ~ within the continental U.S.
