Oil Painting Depicting a Special Horse

Wonderful still life oil painting depicting an exceptional “Hanoverian” horse named “Marie” (as noted on the back) is one of the best I have seen. Beautiful attention to detail with a palette knife technique that lends texture and interest to the body. The gentle whisper of a background scene out in the country further enhances the composition.

An endearing inscription on the back gives us a clue this was a gift presented by the artist to “Debbie” as a Christmas present in “1989”. The painting is in good condition without any rips, tears or paint loss to report. It measures 20” tall, measures 24” across and is ¾” deep. Even though it is unframed this beautiful piece of artwork can sit on a table or can be hung as well. This lovely painting came from an estate in eastern Pennsylvania.
