Whale Bone Pie Crimper Sailor Made

Unique multi-purpose carved whale bone pie crimper dating from the first half of the 19th century. Most likely sailor made on a long voyage out at sea. **Note: This Rye straw basket and another Pie Crimper are available together in a separate listing.**

The underside reveals a gentle scoop with jagged teeth on the outer edge while the opposing end shows the pie crimping wheel. A couple tiny chips located on the side edge of the wheel along with a scratch on the inside scoop area.

Condition is still very good and this pie crimper shows well. Intricate detailed carving and age related soft color makes for a special piece. Enjoy!

Measures 5 ½” tall, wheel measures 1 ½” across and handle measures 1” across the top edge.
