Wonderful slender 19th century apothecary jar showing a defined pontil (bottom location) filled with festive greens, and holiday cookie cutters (all included) that will evoke old fashioned Christmas charm in your kitchen or pantry.
There are areas showing scratches in the glass along with a very tight, barely visible crack near the top opening. A haze occurrence in the form of a long drip near the top and middle section located on the backside does not detract. Tin lid is free of dents and shows a later black paint.
An array of faux greens along with an antique inspired ruby red kugel ornament fill the jar offering color and interest. Tree and reindeer cookie cutters placed inside amongst the greens are keeping with the traditional theme. Some surface rust on the edge of the reindeer.
Jar can be filled with long cinnamon sticks and spices for every day decorating. Dried oranges and apples would also be a colorful accent that would complement your kitchen antique collections. Enjoy!
Stands 10” tall, Opening of jar measures 3 ½” across the top and measures 4 ½” across the bottom. Lid measures 4 ½” across the top, measures almost 4” across the bottom and measures 1” tall.
