Festive wall box lending soft butter yellow paint delights us with a Belsnickel set amongst snow tipped greens that are all included. Wall box dates around 1930 to 1940 era and sports whispers of the preceding sage green paint. The form is splendid showing a lollipop handle with a gentle curved front edge and canted sides.
Contemporary Belsnickel boasts a crimson red velvet coat along with a hand painted face. He is holding a simulated feather tree and can also be used as an ornament (note the eye hook on the top of his head). One area near the left arm shows a small line as referenced in the image by the arrow.
Delicate silver tinsel was applied to his coat and lends an important accent to the overall look. Boots are set against a snowy ground that has glitter accents resembling Mica. Unmarked on bottom and in great overall condition.
An array of snowy greens, pine cones along with red and white berries create an enchanted forest that Santa favors. When the holidays are over you can replace the contents for each upcoming season as the pocket can be a creative palette for chosen accessories. Enjoy!
Wall box measures 8 ¼” tall, measures 7 ¼” across the front and 2 ¼” deep. Belsnickel stands 5” tall and measures 1 ¾” across the bottom.
