Antique Primitive Pantry Box from Maryland's Eastern Shore
This pantry box measures 8 1/2" in diameter and is about 4 1/2" high. It was found on Maryland's Eastern Shore and dates from late 1800's to early 1900's. The sides are held with metal tacks and the bottom and top are secured with wooden pins as well. Two of the tacks are missing from the side of the box bottom and there is a bit of cracking and splintering of the wood along the bottom edge, consistent with age and usage. We are taking these condition issues into account and pricing it accordingly. However, the piece is still study and intact with a dry attic finish and would look great in any country kitchen. A fun little find at a great price!
