Autumn Jacquard Throw Squirrel Leaves Acorns

🐿This beautifully woven reversible jacquard throw will provide warmth and coziness for those chilly autumn nights. I believe it was fashioned from cotton though no tags are present. It is heavy and sports a detailed repeat pattern of a squirrel eating a nut along with color variated leaves as well as acorns.

Primary colors are salmon that dominates the squirrel on a soft butter ground, while the leaves are comprised of grass and forest green on an off white ground. The nut on the acorn depicts a buttercup yellow and the top (cupule) boasts a nutmeg brown tone. The triangle shaped points (periwinkle hue) that act as an opposing border show a green horizontal line just below captured on a soft yellow ground.

Some raised threads appearing in a round cluster called “nubs” are sprinkled randomly throughout as well as some hanging threads in a couple areas. The reverse side showing a raised horizontal line through each repeated squirrel in the lower section near his legs indicates how this piece was woven. The fringe encompassing all four sides depicts all of the colors used in the weave tied in triplicate and is quite stunning. No loss to fringe.

This textile is in good condition as there are no holes, rips, stains or odors to report. It will be a great companion as it stands at the ready for those chilly autumn evenings. This piece also shows well and can be draped over a chair adding warmth and comfort to any room. Enjoy!

Measures 60” by 50”. 🍂 Note: As an alternative you may be able to use this as an accent piece on top of your blanket as a full size bed measures 75” by 53” whereas a twin measures 75” by 38”. This textile can also be folded at the end of a bed as well because of the repeat pattern.
