Belsnickel Santa Holding Feather Tree Neat

#886

Regular price $75.50

Merry Christmas! This Belsnickel is just so excited when the holidays roll around because he knows he will be unearthed from a special box in the attic and is set free once again to partake in all the holiday merriment! He sports a feather tree and was possibly hand cast from cement as his appearance is delightfully primitive in form lending natural imperfections to the surface.

Santa is a rather tall and is a heavy piece. He will definitely stand out anywhere you place him…but he prefers to be by the fire where he can stay warm. The surface on the right side of his face is not perfect because of the impervious nature of the material that was used to cast him as referenced in image 5. This feature also carries though the whole piece scattered at random. Image 10 reflects minor paint loss on his right arm.

Santa’s eyes portray a gentle and kind look and his applied eyebrows and carved beard really stands out adding wonderful character to his overall appearance. His boots have extra detail captured by a paint brush as well as the raised buttons on his red coat. He proudly holds a feather tree topped with a crimson berry. Santa is not marked so we are not sure who the maker is and the age is also unknown.

This Belsnickel would be a perfect addition to your collection as he is unique and may even be one of a kind. You can place him near a feather tree, on a shelf or even on a window sill surrounded by a lit garland too! He will certainly make your holidays bright by creating enchanting Christmas magic to your lovely homestead. The only thing he asks is to please leave cookies out for him come Christmas Eve and don’t forget the milk! Enjoy!

Santa stands 14 ¾” tall, measures 4 ½” across the widest point (shoulders) and the base measures 4 ¾” across (right to left).
