Chamberstick Make Do Repair Patriotic

#1089

Regular price $55.50

🇺🇸 Bring early American warmth to any cozy nook in your home with this primitive, 19th-century (circa 1860) tin push-up chamberstick, beautifully styled with festive patriotic accoutrements offered with free shipping. While the original tinned sheet-iron thumb tab mechanism was lost, it features a fully functional recent "make-do" repair lending a custom wooden peg fitted directly into a wood insert inside the shaft. True to its original purpose this push up lever allows you to adjust the candle height while maximizing the use, adding historical character to a classic piece.

Back shows areas of surface rust but not as vivid as in the images. Handle was most likely re-soldered in place at one point due to the shiny appearance. Candle shaft was pressed into the premade hole as noted on the bottom. Edges are rough cut rather than folded over.

I crafted a flag using an early coverlet that includes a hand stitched twig holder that graces the base. Faux strawberries, blueberries, poppy pods, tallow berries and a coverlet heart are also included as an accent. Two pinecones can be laid in the back of the flag to prop it up for proper display. Red and white striped candle is also included!

Perfect accent for any room of your choosing bringing patriotic charm to any space.

Stands 6 ¾” tall including the candle and measures 3 ½” tall without candle. Inside base measures 4 ½” across while the bottom measures 5 ½”across.

~Freight (Standard Mail) included, however Insurance is optional and can be purchased @ checkout ~ within the continental U.S.
