Wonderful illustrated Child’s Reader dated 1860 along with an antique inspired book light and candle. Book shows wear on the front, back and inside covers. There are no missing pages and all are clean without any markings, rips or tears. Nice marbled end pages as shown.
Signed by the owner, Henry Derr from “Berks County” Pennsylvania as marked in fountain pen on the inside page. Book light is accented with dried poppies and aged cheesecloth lending an unique look. There is an opening as shown where the light can be inserted into the book. Candle is for decorative purposes only.
Would look perfect set on a desk with other old books nearby or can be tucked on a shelf. Great gathering that awaits a cozy corner in your home!
Book measures 7 ½” tall, measures almost 5 ¼” across and is 1” thick. Book Light with candle stands almost 3 ¾” tall, book light alone stands 1 ½” tall, measures 3 ½” front to back and measures 1 ¾” across the opening.
