"And the Stockings Were Hung"…as the story goes and these beauties would be gorgeous hung from the mantle!! I really favor the Nordic ~ Fair Isle pattern, possibly incorporated with a Swedish twist especially in wonderful stockings such as these. The bold design really catches your attention sporting airy snowflakes and soft triangles. The deep crimson red and creamy off white colors are just perfect for holiday decorating as shown in images 1 & 2. Note: The rest of the images came out lighter and do not exactly portray the colors correctly.
These contemporary stockings were actually woven in Italy and are comprised of 36% Wool, 30% Nylon, 26%Viscose, and 7% cashmere. They are machine washable in cold water and should be air dried.
I added some boxwood from our garden along with cedar that create a fresh accent and used old turkey red thread to hand stitch these clippings in place. I made a hanger for the stockings (by way of a loop) out of the same thread so they could be conveniently hung. There is a reverse pattern on the back side even though this is not pictured. The stockings are brand new and in perfect condition! I was so enamored with the color and style that I kept a pair for myself! Yikes!
You can hang this great textile off of a shaker peg rack or from a spray of fresh greens as shown here! These stockings will lend a fun and enchanting look to your homestead for the holidays and possibly beyond! Enjoy!
Stockings measure a generous 15" Tall, 3 1/2" across (right to left) in the middle and 4" across the heel which is the widest point.
