Gourd Bowl and Dipper Spoon Gathering

Our popular Gourd Bowl and Dipper Spoon gathering is now available for immediate purchase but supplies are limited. Early peas and wee pumpkins inside the spoon are also included lending a touch of autumn splendor.

These gourds came from a farm in Alabama and were hand crafted to create a bowl and dipper spoon. The color is a blend of nutmeg's, licorice with warm butternut squash tones while the texture is somewhat uneven with bumps and raised areas that add plenty of character! Each gourd and spoon are unique and no two are alike! This particular set is of the larger variety compared to the others also being offered in separate listings.

I decided to basecoat the inside of the gourd and spoon using highlighted accents that lend a black and eggshell white hue. This bowl has a notched end feature to act as a spoon rest by way of the gourd neck. You can fill the bowl with Halloween candy and keep it by the door when the trick or treaters arrive. An array of small pumpkins, dried garlic, wheat, maple leaves, acorns and walnuts can also be used as a great filler with perhaps a pillar candle taking center stage in the middle. Don’t forget about the holidays as greens and berries would look very festive placed inside surrounded by soft fairy lights. Have fun and enjoy!

Bowl stands 3 ¼” in the front location and 4” in the back, measures almost 8” across the top and measures 3 ½” across the bottom (flat area). Dipper spoon measures 7 ½” long and bowl measures 2 ½” across.
