Wire Soap Dish Holder Lye Soap Brush Gathering

#837

Regular price $65.50

This late 19th century twisted wire soap dish is accompanied by two chunks of old Lye Soap and a primitive brush. Soap dish has vestiges of minor surface rust otherwise nice dark appearance. Can either be hung or placed on a counter.

Two chunks of Lye Soap found in the rafters of an old Pennsylvania barn sporting an aged look were custom cut to fit the size of the holder. Wooden brush having glorious patina on the back was probably fashioned from boar bristles. An eye hook was inserted long ago so this piece could be conveniently hung.

Would be perfect for a bathroom or can be set near the kitchen sink creating old fashioned charm by enhancing that special nook. Enjoy!
