Pig Cutting Board with Towel

#907

Sale price $79.50 Regular price $89.50

This vintage six board constructed pig cutting board is just adorable and is ready to be appreciated in your country kitchen. I added a contemporary printed advertising towel depicting a pig which is also included with this purchase.

The cutting board has the appearance of a somewhat bleached look mixed in with warm honey tones. The simple form is still very effective as this pig has a recessed eye and a tail possessing a hanging hole feature. Instead of using one piece of wood to fashion this board, several sections were joined together initiating a horizontal configuration which is a nice touch.

He is free of any chips or cracks not to mention some of the surface that seems to have been spared from deep marks due to an overzealous knife. You can however see light knife marks on the edge of his facial features including his ear and back as shown. There is a small area midway point below his tail that shows minimal wood loss as referenced in images 7 & 8.

The fourth board (counting down from the top) may have separated itself from the rest at one point as there is evidence of an old glue repair. All in all this board is in overall good condition.

I added a towel with a stamped pig design to tie in the theme. This textile is very thin and could be considered a tightly woven cheesecloth fabric for arguments sake. It does have a salvaged edge and possesses a crisp white hue. The generous size allows for displaying on a kitchen door as referenced in image 18 or can be hung off the side of a tall cupboard. This gathering offers great decorating possibilities and my only question is….are you in pig heaven yet? Ha!

Board measures 14” across including the end of the tail, measures 8” tall including the tail and is ¾” thick. Towel measures 30” tall and measures 29” across (right to left).

~Freight (Standard Mail) included, however Insurance is optional and can be purchased @ checkout ~ within the continental U.S.
